Pepper Got A Backpack Today!

I'm super excited! The dog pack arrived in the mail today.   I got it adjusted and she doesn't mind wearing it.   It's a bit of a challenge to get it on,  but I know that will get better.   Can't wait to start losding it and having her carry the kids lunches to school.  I'll have to get someone to take a couple pictures for me as she's not going to stand nicely of leash yet.

B-17

Brian got to fly in the B-17 bomber that was at the Warsaw airshow this weekend.   Then he got to actually fly it.  Sooooo cool!  He also got to fly the Canadian version of the T-6.

Cousins 2015 Summer

Lilly and Owen were here for 2 months this summer.   Here are some pictures.

Kayaking on the Eel River

Brian, the kids and I kayaked the Eel River from Laketon to the Bear Grass takeout at 15.  It took us 2.5 hours and worked out quite well.   The kids both paddled their own kayaks.   I  had a lovely time,  as did Isabele. Titus did a great job, though I think he was a bit frustrated by the slow pace.   Brian kept him company in the lead quite a bit as Isabele was much slower.  No one flipped or fell out of their kayak, though we did have one almost flip with Isabele and I.

2015 County Fair

Titus entered Toby, his soapbox derby car.  Isabele entered her button tree pillow, her hand stitched apron, and a pocket doll.  I entered the winter twill dress, a flutter sleeve hankerchief top, a skort, my jellyroll lap quilt, and Brian's sweater.  Will post pictures in a couple days when we go see how the judging went.

Window wells

We put in escape windows this spring for both the kids rooms and or bedroom.   A LOT of hard work,  but well worth it in the end.

Before, with just a hole dug.

Looking out,  with the blinds and curtains done.
Titus's window.
I took the broken blocks and made a walk ib the back in back then covered with the extra dirt.  Then I split a bunch of hosta and autumn sedum,  and some other stuff and planted it on my new wall.
